Georgina Long, PhD, MBBS, FRACP, FAHMS, University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia, discusses results from the Phase III INTerpath-001 study (NCT05933577), which evaluated intismeran autogene, an mRNA-based individualized neoantigen therapy, and pembrolizumab versus pembrolizumab alone as adjuvant treatment in resected stage IIB-IV melanoma. The combination significantly improved recurrence-free and distant metastasis-free survival, with consistent benefit across subgroups and a generally well-tolerated safety profile. These findings set a new benchmark for adjuvant melanoma treatment and represent an advance in personalized medicine. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2026 Congress in Madrid, Spain.
