ASCO 2021 | Future directions in bile duct cancers

Rachna T. Shroff, MD, University of Arizona Cancer Center, Tucson, AZ, discusses progress in biliary tract cancers and touches on key areas of unmet need, such as improving chemotherapy regimens in patients, as well as identifying agents for patients without druggable mutations, of which immunotherapy may prove useful. Finally, Dr Shroff highlights the importance of understanding and overcoming resistance in patients treated with targeted therapies. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2021 Virtual Meeting.
