AACR 2023 | Treating desmoplastic melanoma with single agent immunotherapy

Kari Kendra, MD, PhD, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, discusses treatment options for patients with desmoplastic melanoma. Immunotherapy is effective in a large number of patients with melanoma, but additional strategies are needed to increase response in the wider population. For patients with desmoplastic melanoma, deescalating to single agent therapy can prove beneficial without the associated toxicities. This interview took place at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2023 in Orlando, FL.
