Kari Kendra, MD, PhD, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, describes the impact of the recent FDA approval of retifanlimab for metastatic or recurrent locally advanced Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC). MCC has traditionally been very responsive to immunotherapies, and retifanlimab will provide an additional treatment option for this group of patients.
