ASCO 2026 | Does YOCAS produce long-term benefits in mood disturbances and insomnia in cancer survivors?

Karen Mustian, PhD, University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, NY, discusses the durability of results from a Phase III trial of Yoga for Cancer Survivors (YOCAS) in cancer survivors. Changes in mood disturbance and insomnia were evaluated at the beginning and end of the four-week intervention, meaning longer-term benefits of the intervention cannot be assessed from this. However, a subsequent additional trial has been completed to examine the durability, and this will be presented at future meetings. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
