Tom Newsom-Davis, BSc, MBBS, FRCP, PhD, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, discusses the latest developments in EGFR exon 20 insertion non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), highlighting the updated overall survival data from the PAPILLON study (NCT04538664) of first-line amivantamab, and the REZILIENT 3 study (NCT05973773), which demonstrated a progression-free survival benefit with zipalertinib, but also a high rate of toxicity. These studies provide new options for this rare EGFR subtype other than chemotherapy, including sunvozertinib. This interview took place at the IASLC 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
