SABCS 2022 | EMBER-2: preoperative imlunestrant for ER+/HER2- early stage breast cancer

Patrick Neven, MD, Universitair Ziekenhuis Leuven, Leuven, Belgium, provides an overview of the Phase I EMBER-2 (NCT04647487) window-of-opportunity study investigating the biological effects of imulnestrant administered two weeks prior to surgery for patients with estrogen receptor positive (ER+), HER2-negative (HER2-) early stage (stage I-III) breast cancer. The primary outcome was change from baseline in ER expression and secondary outcomes included change from baseline in progesterone receptor (PR) expression and change in baseline in Ki-67 index. This interview took place at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) 2022 in San Antonio, TX.
