EBCC 2024 | Improving breast cancer outcomes with exercise

Antonio Di Meglio, MD, PhD, Gustave Roussy, Villejuif, France, gives an overview of the benefits of exercise in patients with breast cancer. Multiple studies have demonstrated the link between various types of exercise and reduced incidences of cancer, as well as reduced mortality in patients who are diagnosed with cancer. The PREFERABLE-EFFECT study (NCT04120298) additionally showed the positive effect of exercise on fatigue and quality of life in patients with metastatic breast cancer. This interview took place at the 14th European Breast Cancer Conference (EBCC) in Milan, Italy.
