Puneet Singh, MD, MS, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, gives an overview of the patient-reported outcomes (PROs) from the COMET trial (NCT02926911), which compared active monitoring (AM) with surgical management in low-risk ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). No significant negative outcomes were reported regardless of treatment arms, providing valuable insights into patient-centered care for low-risk DCIS. This interview took place at the 2024 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) congress in San Antonio, TX.
