Srikala Sridhar, MD, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto, Canada, discusses advancements in identifying reliable predictive biomarkers in bladder and kidney cancer to better select patients for curative-intent systemic therapy. Dr Sridhar highlights the recent approval of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in the adjuvant setting for bladder cancer and the ongoing interest in biomarkers such as KIM-1 for kidney cancer.
