Chinmay Jani, MD, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Miami, FL, discusses how next-generation sequencing can be used in both older and younger patients with lung cancer to guide treatment decisions. Younger patients have been shown to have distinct genomic and immune profiles, which could affect outcomes. In addition, younger patients have a higher chance of having actionable alterations and therefore could benefit particularly from targeted therapies. This interview took place at the IASLC 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
