WCLC 2026 | AI tools for clinical advice in NSCLC without actionable mutations
Chinmay Jani, MD, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Miami, FL, shares insights from a study assessing artificial intelligence (AI) models for clinical advice in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) without actionable mutations. The accuracy of the models was between 58 and 60%, which Dr Jani suggests could be due to constantly changing first- and second-line treatments. AI tools are therefore helpful, but require an oncology expert opinion to ensure accuracy and precision. This interview took place at the IASLC 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
