Jana de Boniface, MD, PhD, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden, presents overall survival and patient-reported outcomes from the SENOMAC trial (NCT02240472), a non-inferiority study evaluating omission of completion axillary lymph node dissection in patients with breast cancer and sentinel lymph node macrometastases. Results confirmed oncologic safety of omission, with comparable overall survival and breast cancer-specific survival, alongside significantly improved arm function and reduced arm morbidity, supporting omission as a safe standard approach in this population. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
