VJVirtual | Oligometastatic vs oligoremnant disease

Puneeth Iyengar, MD, PhD, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX, provides an overview of oligometastic versus oligoremnant disease and discusses the treatment of each metastatic disease state with local therapies. Oligometastatic disease represents a clinical state of metastatic disease that is limited in the number of metastatic sites and may benefit from local consolidation therapy, whereas oligoremnant disease defines an induced oligometastatic state where a former polymetastatic disease responded to initial systemic therapy. This interview was recorded via an online conference call with The Video Journal of Oncology (VJOncology).
