Félix Guerrero-Ramos, MD, PhD, Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre, Madrid, Spain, describes the development of BlaDimiRplus, a novel urine-based method to predict response to bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) immunotherapy in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMBIC). This strategy integrates miRNA and cytokine profiling to identify likely responders before treatment. Data from a BCG-treated cohort showed strong predictive performance for select biomarkers, with improved accuracy when combined. This interview took place at the 2025 European Association of Urology (EAU) Congress in Madrid, Spain.
