Alan Sihoe, MBBChir, FRCSEd, FCSHK, FHKAM, The University of Hong Kong, Pokfulam, Hong Kong, discusses management strategies for lung cancer in developing countries. Attractive techniques have been developed for lung cancer treatment, such as 3D imaging or printing technology, minimally invasive procedures and robotics, but access to these techniques are limited in developing countries due to financial constraints. Dr Sihoe suggests alternative areas that can return greater improvements in patients for less cost, including the integration of lung cancer surgery into the age of multi-modality therapy. This interview took place at the 2023 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in Singapore, Singapore.
