Alan Sihoe, MBBChir, FRCSEd, FCSHK, FHKAM, The University of Hong Kong, Pokfulam, Hong Kong, outlines about the role of thoracic surgery in multimodal therapy. Advances have been observed in the combination of novel therapies and surgery to improve patient outcomes. Current aims include the improvement of multi-modality eligibility for patients with advanced lung cancer. Dr Sihoe proposes that surgeons bring their own perspectives to multi-modality meetings, such as pointing out low surgical input in clinical trials and recommending changes to eligibility criteria. This interview took place at the 2023 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in Singapore, Singapore.
