Martin Schuler, MD, University Hospital Essen, Essen, Germany, discusses the detailed safety findings from the Phase III DeLLphi-304 trial (NCT05740566), the first study to show superiority of the DLL3-targeted bispecific T-cell engager tarlatamab over standard chemotherapy in previously treated small cell lung cancer (SCLC). The analysis demonstrated improved overall and progression-free survival, fewer severe adverse events, and manageable cytokine release syndrome and neurotoxicity, confirming tarlatamab as a safe and feasible new standard for second-line SCLC treatment. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2025 Congress in Berlin, Germany.
