ELCC 2025 | Updates in the role of radiotherapy and radiosensitizers for SCLC
Bjorn Henning Gronberg, MD, PhD, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway, gives an overview of the latest advancements in radiotherapy for small cell lung cancer (SCLC). Dose escalation of radiotherapy, particularly when accelerated, appears to improve outcomes in primary radiotherapy of limited stage SCLC, and that this may also facilitate immunotherapy. However, the lack of biomarkers to select patients for additional immunotherapy after chemotherapy remains a significant challenge. This interview took place at the European Lung Cancer Congress (ELCC) 2025 in Paris, France.
