EBCC 2024 | MR-guided adaptive partial breast radiotherapy in low-risk breast cancer

Claire Van Vliet, MD, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, highlights findings of a Phase II study of magnetic resonance (MR)-guided adaptive partial breast radiotherapy in low-risk breast cancer. The treatment showed sustained low rates of toxicity. Fatigue was the most common side effect, which was mostly seen at grade I/II. The minimally invasive procedure had good cosmetic outcomes, with most patients reportedly satisfied. This interview took place at the 14th European Breast Cancer Conference (EBCC) in Milan, Italy.
