ASCO 2024 | Long term outcomes in JAVELIN Bladder 100: avelumab in urothelial carcinoma
Joaquim Bellmunt, MD, PhD, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, discusses findings from a post hoc analysis of the Phase III JAVELIN Bladder 100 trial (NCT02603432), which assessed first-line maintenance avelumab with best supportive care (BSC) in patients with advanced urothelial carcinoma (aUC) and low tumor burden. First-line maintenance avelumab provided robust responses with manageable toxicity, supporting avelumab as a standard of care in this setting. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
