ASCO 2025 | The potential of VTP in low-grade upper tract urothelial carcinoma

Vitaly Margulis, MD UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX, briefly shares his insights on using novel organ-sparing approaches in the treatment of upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC). He notes that while organ-sparing approaches, such as vascular-targeted photodynamic therapy (VTP), are preferred and utilized currently for low-grade tumors, they have yet to be implemented for UTUC. This interview took place at the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) meeting in Chicago, IL.
