Vitaly Margulis, MD UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX, briefly discusses the unmet needs facing the clinical treatment of upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC). The overtreatment of low-grade UTUC and undertreatment of high-grade UTUC underlines improvements that could be made to prevent invasive surgeries and escalate treatment for patients with aggressive forms of the disease.
