Robert Olson, MD, BC Cancer, Prince George, Canada, comments on the need for future stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) trial of multiple lesions to be followed for up to 5 years, given results from the SABR-5 trial (NCT02933242) which showed ongoing toxicity for up to 5 years. Prof. Olson also highlights a need for patient reported outcomes to consider the location of toxicities to guide trial design for different tumor sites. This interview took place at the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology 2026 Congress in Stockholm, Sweden.
