Richard Cathomas, MD, Cantonal Hospital Graubunden, Chur, Switzerland, briefly discusses ongoing challenges surrounding the use of immunotherapy in the neoadjuvant and adjuvant settings for muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). Dr Cathomas highlights the need for reliable biomarkers, the potential role of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in guiding treatment decisions, and the possibility of eliminating adjuvant therapy in selected patients. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
