Rene Petersen, MD, PhD, Copenhagen University Hospital Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark, discusses how biomarker identification is limiting treatment decisions in resectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Up to one third of patients have a complete pathologic response following chemoimmunotherapy and potentially could avoid surgery. However, the biomarkers or tools to identify these patients prior to surgery are not yet available. This interview took place at the 2026 European Lung Cancer Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark.
