EBCC 2024 | Non-pharmacological pain management strategies in breast cancer

Antonio Di Meglio, MD, PhD, Gustave Roussy, Villejuif, France, discusses findings from study assessing pain neuroscience education and behavioral graded activity in survivors of breast cancer. A short-term reduction in pain was observed in patients receiving the education and behavioral activity, demonstrating the benefits of non-pharmacological interventions. Tailored therapy and patient selection based on pain score has additionally shown to be beneficial in terms of producing results. This interview took place at the 14th European Breast Cancer Conference (EBCC) in Milan, Italy.
