Narjust Florez, MD, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, shares the limitations of the sexual health assessment in woman in lung cancer (SHAWL) study. The SHAWL study included an online questionnaire administered during the COVID-19 pandemic, so many patients could not participate. Additionally, the majority of the population included were White, when sexual health has been associated with cultural differences and healthcare belief differences. Dr Florez hopes to continue studying sexual health in a more diverse population in race and ethnicity, as well as sexual orientation and gender identification and religions and cultures. This interview took place at the IASLC 2022 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Vienna, Austria.
