Chad Tang, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, discusses the potential of prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography (PSMA PET) imaging as a biomarker for staging oligometastatic prostate cancer (omPC) – offering improved lesion detection and better patient selection. In a recent analysis, PSMA PET showed favorable hazard ratios for guiding metastatic therapy compared to other imaging modalities. These findings highlight its potential to enhance treatment decisions and outcomes. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
