GU Cancers 2025 | Evaluating metastasis-directed therapy in oligometastatic prostate cancer

Chad Tang, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, discusses findings from the WOLVERINE meta-analysis, which evaluates metastasis-directed therapy (MDT) in oligometastatic prostate cancer (omPC) patients using individual patient data from multiple randomized trials. MDT significantly improved progression-free survival, radiographic progression-free survival, and castration-resistance free survival, with near-significant overall survival benefits. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
