Teresa Macarulla, MD, Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, Barcelona, Spain, discusses results from the Phase II GLEAM study (NCT03816163) of zolbetuximab with gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel versus chemotherapy alone in previously untreated claudin 18.2-positive metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAC). Overall survival was similar between arms, though exploratory biomarker analysis suggested patients with elevated interleukin-18 levels may derive greater benefit from zolbetuximab. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Gastrointestinal Cancer 2026 Congress in Munich, Germany.
