SITC 2024 | OPTIMIZE-1: mitazalimab + mFOLFIRINOX for metastatic pancreatic cancer

Karen Geboes, MD, PhD, UZ Ghent – University Hospital Gent, Gent, Belgium, shares promising results from the Phase Ib/II OPTIMIZE-1 trial (NCT04888312), which investigated the efficacy and safety of mitazalimab, a CD40 agonist antibody, combined with modified (m) FOLFIRINOX, a first-line treatment for advanced pancreatic cancer. 57 patients were given mitazalimab on day 1, followed by chemotherapy with mFOLFIRINOX on day 8, followed by mitazalimab again on day 10. Mitazalimab combined with mFOLFIRINOX was safe and tolerable with promising clinical efficacy in the treatment of metastatic pancreatic cancer. This interview took place at the 39th Annual Meeting of the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer 2024, Houston, TX.
