GU Cancers 2025 | CheckMate 9ER: long term findings of nivolumab with cabozantinib in aRCC

Tian Zhang, MD, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX, shares final long-term results from the Phase III CheckMate 9ER trial (NCT03141177) of nivolumab plus cabozantinib veusus sunitinib in previously untreated advanced renal cell carcinoma (aRCC). Nivolumab and cabozantinib demonstrated improved progression-free and overall survival, as well as higher response rates across all risk groups. No new safety signals emerged, and treatment-related adverse events remained consistent with previous data. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
