EBCC 2024 | Omitting radiotherapy in the SINODAR-ONE protocol for breast cancer

Ruggero Spoto, MD, Humanitas Research Hospital, Milan, Italy, discusses the SINODAR-ONE protocol, omitting radiotherapy of the axillary lymph nodes in breast cancer treatment. The SINODAR-ONE trial (NCT05160324) suggests that it could be safe to omit axillary radiotherapy in patients undergoing surgery for breast cancer with up to two macrometastatic sentinel lymph nodes. This interview took place at the 14th European Breast Cancer Conference (EBCC) in Milan, Italy.
