ASCO 2026 | Pooled analysis of neoadjuvant vs adjuvant chemotherapy in HR+/HER2- breast cancer

Oleg Gluz, MD, Evang. Krankenhaus “”Bethesda”” Klinik, Mönchengladbach, Germany, provides insight into the pooled analysis of the WSG ADAPT and PlanB trials in high-risk HR+/HER2- breast cancer. Neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy resulted in similar survival outcomes, anthracycline-free and anthracycline-containing chemotherapy had comparable outcomes even in high-risk patients, and longer docetaxel-based treatment was more effective than shorter dose-dense paclitaxel followed by AC. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
