ASCO 2026 | Survival analysis data from the TP-II trial in HR+/HER2+ early breast cancer
Oleg Gluz, MD, Evang. Krankenhaus “”Bethesda”” Klinik, Mönchengladbach, Germany, presents the findings of the TP-II trial (NCT03272477), which investigated neoadjuvant trastuzumab plus pertuzumab combined with endocrine therapy (ET) versus chemotherapy in patients with HR+/HER2+ early breast cancer. Dr Gluz highlights excellent survival outcomes in both study arms, suggesting that chemotherapy may be omitted in a significant proportion of patients, although larger trials are needed to confirm this hypothesis. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
