Rachel Jimenez, MD, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, discusses the concerns of radiotherapy for breast cancer, including the requirement of tattoos and radiation exposure of the heart and lungs. Common practice has required tattoos to help ensure the fidelity of the radiation, however, newer imaging technology no longer requires tattoos. Additionally, new technology allows for reduced pulmonary and cardiac exposure. This interview took place at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) 2022 in San Antonio, TX.
