ESMO 2017 | Drug shortages around the world: why communication is key

Fatima Cardoso, MD, from the Champalimaud Clinical Cancer Centre, Lisbon, Portugal talks to us about the problems posed by the lack of information specifying which countries lack certain drugs to treat breast cancer. Dr Cardoso explains the important role that clinicians, pharmacists and patients could play to ameliorate this, and discusses how improved communication could increase the quality of care available to patients around the world.
