GU Cancers 2021 | The impact of antibiotic use on ICI treatment in mUC

Shilpa Gupta, MD, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH, gives an outline of the effect of antibiotic use after initiation of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) treatment on overall survival (OS) in patients with metastatic urothelial carcinoma (mUC). Dr Gupta reports that antibiotic use within 30 days of initiation of ICI treatment did not impact OS, despite other reports suggesting a negative outcome from the two treatments. This interview took place during the 2021 Genitourinary Cancers Symposium.
