Vasu Divi, MD, Stanford Medicine, Stanford, CA, discusses the prospect of neoadjuvant checkpoint inhibitors becoming a part of the treatment paradigm for patients with advanced cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC). Larger Phase III trials (NCT03833167, NCT03969004) are actively investigating the feasibility of neoadjuvant immunotherapies compared to surgical resection followed by adjuvant radiation therapy, which is the current standard of care provided to patients with advanced cSCC. This interview took place at The European Congress on Dermato-Oncology 2024 in Vienna, Austria.
