ELCC 2019 | Tumor treating fields as an anti-mitotic therapy

Here, Ori Farber, MD, of Novocure, Haifa, Israel, delivers a background on tumor treating fields (TTF) as an anti-mitotic therapy. Dr Faber explains how using alternating electrical fields can disrupt dividing tumor cells at the metaphase via the disruption of mitotic spindles, and during cytokinesis via the dislocation of cellular organelles. This video was recorded at the European Lung Cancer Congress (ELCC) 2019, held in Geneva, Switzerland.
