Ankur Sharma, PhD, Curtin University, Perth, Australia, discusses an exploration into the evolution of tumors as they develop from precancerous through to advanced stage. Single-cell genomics can be used to help understand the impact of various selection pressures, such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy, on the evolution and ecosystem of tumors.
