ESMO 2025 | ESMO 2025: breakthrough ADC trials in TNBC and HER2+ breast cancer

Erika Hamilton, MD, Sarah Cannon Research Institute, Nashville, TN, highlights the latest developments in antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) presented at ESMO 2025, focusing on trials such as DESTINY-Breast11 (NCT05113251) and DESTINY-Breast05 (NCT04622319) that are advancing trastuzumab-drug conjugates into the curative setting for HER2-positive breast cancer. Dr Hamilton also covers the movement of ADCs into earlier lines of treatment for triple-negative breast cancer, including first-line use of sacituzumab govitecan, with recent positive trial results. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2025 Congress in Berlin, Germany.
