BTOG 2025 | Mental health services in the lung cancer pathway

Laura-Jane Smith, MBBChir, BA (Hons), FRCP(Resp), Dip(ClinEd), FHEA iBSLM, Kings College Hospital, London, UK, described the benefits of mental health services for patients with lung cancer. Many patients suffer with severe mental health issues including addiction and difficulty accessing equitable care. With 1-to-1 personal support, reasonable adjustments and a trauma-informed approach, more patients are successfully progressing towards treatment. This interview took place at the BTOG 2025 congress in Belfast, UK.
