Xin Gao, MD, Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, Boston, MA, comments on an analysis of a circulating tumor cell (CTC) RNA biomarker in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) treated with bavdegalutamide in a Phase I/II study. Findings suggest that a lower pre-treatment CTC biomarker score was associated with stable disease and longer time on therapy, despite the absence of AR T878/H875 mutations. These results highlight the potential for biomarker-driven patient selection for bavdegalutamide and other androgen receptor-targeting PROTACs. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
