Jennifer Rachel Eads, MD, Abramson Cancer Center, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, describes the process and rationale behind the creation of updated management guidelines for the treatment of high grade neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Due to the heterogeneity of NETs, various treatment strategies exist for existing grades of NETs, such as well differentiated and poorly differentiated NETs. The rarity of NETs additionally results in the lack of prospective clinical data, and creation of management guidelines by a multidisciplinary team will hopefully guide clinicians more effectively. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2023 Annual Congress in Chicago, IL.
