Jennifer Ligibel, MD, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, BA, examines patient-reported quality of life (QoL) and symptom outcomes from the BWEL trial (NCT02750826) evaluating a lifestyle-based weight loss intervention versus health education alone in patients with stage II–III breast cancer and elevated body mass index. At 6 and 24 months, the weight loss intervention arm demonstrated significantly greater improvements in physical function, global physical and mental health, and fatigue compared with the health education arm alone.
