ELCC 2026 | Findings from a global physician survey examining treatment decisions in EGFRm NSCLC
Mariana Brandao, MD, PhD, Jules Bordet Institute, Brussels, Belgium, explores findings from a global physician survey examining treatment decisions in EGFR-mutated (EGFRm) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Overall survival results from the MARIPOSA (NCT04487080) and FLAURA2 (NCT04035486) studies demonstrated a similar survival benefit for first-line amivantamab plus lazertinib and osimertinib plus chemotherapy. The physician survey found that first-line treatment recommendation would be osimertinib monotherapy for around 60% of patients, chemotherapy with osimertinib for around 30%, and amivantamab plus lazertinib for around 10% of patients. Osimertinib is often considered for more senior and frail patients, those with co-morbidities and those who value quality of life. This interview took place at the 2026 European Lung Cancer Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark.
