Erika Hamilton, MD, Sarah Cannon Research Institute, Nashville, TN, discusses some of the reasons underlying non-adherence to breast cancer treatment, such as side-effects, the long-term nature of treatment, and poor understanding of the risk of recurrence, and suggests how this challenge might be tackled.
