ESMO 2024 | NADINA: promising neoadjuvant immunotherapy strategies for melanoma
Karijn Suijkerbuijk, MD, PhD, UMC Utrecht, Utrecht, The Netherlands, highlights the Phase III NADINA trial (NCT04949113) of neoadjuvant ipilimumab-nivolumab therapy followed by adjuvant nivolumab in melanoma patients. The trial demonstrated an impressive event-free survival (EFS), and these results suggest a significant benefit of the combination therapy over standard treatments. Ongoing research aims to identify biomarkers that predict which patients may benefit from more intense neoadjuvant therapies. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
